The first surprise was the upgrade of the Mulberry Bayswater into the double zipped tote. The new look sends a strong message of confidence and versatile, encourage with a buckle strap and the iconic postman lock. But who would ever thought that Emma Hill would go even further? She transformed the Mulberry Bayswater tote into a delightful shoulder bag, expanding the variety of the timeless style.
The Bayswater shoulder edition is a small elegant bag, where simplicity plays a huge role. The bag is single-colored and features a notable signature postman’s lock. It’s a great everyday bag to use for work, shopping and diners. The fashion term ‘casual chic’ is the best way to explain the appearance. It has a long detachable shoulder strap and it can be worn cross body or on your shoulder.
Honestly, I find the Mulberry Bayswater shoulder bag overly simplified. It misses the extra touch and the soft slouchy shape when comparing to the original Bayswater tote. The shoulder bag version could have added more excitement before it can earn the iconic title.
This shoulder bag was first released in the fall and winter 2013 collection. There are four colors available, lipstick red, black, grey, purple, dark blue and brown. The price for the normal leather is £1,100, €1,450 and $1,850 USD. Pick it up at Mulberry e-store.
What’s your opinion on the Mulberry Bayswater shoulder bag?
Is the orange one a special edition? other colours have no handle
Its actually from the f/w 2013 collection, not a special edition. It’s the new shoulder bag with a top handle. This bag is also featured in their brochure. The top handle is very compelling an usefull.
