It’s been a while since we’ve covered a Loewe Bag. And lately, this fashion house has been creating a lot of new handbags. One of those bags that caught out attention is the Loewe Gate Bag, because of its practical interior and simple exterior, which makes it perfect as an everyday bag. The name ‘Gate’ is given thanks to the side latched metallic pin with dangling leather strip. Now let’s talk about the details.

The Design

The Gate Bag is a saddle bag with a small but beautiful twist to make it stand-out. It’s made from soft natural calfskin – the ideal leather for everyday use because it’s strong and solid. This saddle bag is half-round shaped and flexible. The interior is spacious but first let’s take a closer look at the front strap.

The front flap is crafted with knotted front belt bow closure. The flirty dangling leather strip is useful but it’s also for decoration purpose.

And it’s not that you need to unknot the leather strip to be able to get into the interior. You can simply move the front flap up and access the inside anytime you want.

Loewe is about skillfully handcrafted handbags using high-end leathers. The Gate Bag is certainly not disappointing. The strap is also adjustable with cufflinks, the edges are hand-painted and the front is embossed with the Anagram logo.
