Nothing new here, but just want to remind you of the rule that we heard back in 2011. A nice girl who came across Bragmybag.com left a comment confirming that the rule of ’one bag per passport per two month’ is real in Paris. I haven’t heard anyone having trouble in other EU countries, so I suppose that this rule is only enforced in Paris.
Is it a bad thing?
Well, that depends. Last time I went to Paris, I’ve seen two tourist swiping away 15 of the most gorgeous earrings in one purchase. And I am convince that it also happens with Chanel handbags. It’s not fair for those who are traveling all the way to Paris for Chanel. The disappointing feeling is heart-breaking, I understand that well enough.

Hi,
Is the rule per country or per region? Say I bought one in Milan, Italy, can I buy my second one in Paris, France ? Or within Italy, am I able to make purchase in Milan and Spain ?
It depends, because Paris is a popular place to shop, Chanel might enforce a temporary rule. It’s no fun when 1 or 2 tourist come and then empty the entire classic stock.
The rules can change, the latest rule we’ve heard is: 1 bag per month per country.
I juz bought a chanel bag at london’s bond st boutique.. intend to buy 2 -classic flap n chanel boy but was told only 1 bag per passport, be it classic or seasonal and the rule is applicable for any bags even if its 2 seasonal bags…
But apart from bags, i can purchase shoe/clothing/makeup/facial products /perfume wif any 1 bag….
Hope this helps.
Thanks for sharing this info, we will announce this to our community via a post. Which bag did you eventually get? Can you share a picture?
I eventually get the chanel flap medium… and a Diorama from Christian Dior as an alternative since they dont allow 2 bags from Chanel ??
Wow, gorgeous! Thanks for sharing. It’s caviar leather, good choice!
