And if that isn’t enough, the boy flap is oh so pricey. To feed our eternal addiction, Chanel introduced three sizes; small, medium and large. Which one is irresistible?

Just wondering if you or any girls here know that if i can get it cheaper in UK. As my friend in UK is coming to HK soon. Hi J.L., thanks for dropping by. First of all, HK is expensive. So buying in EU probably save you some money. But because your friend is from the UK, she will not be able to tax-refund your purchase. So you will end up paying UK tax at the end.

But what you friend could do is check heathrow airport. Heathrow airport is not stocking iconic bag, but I think they do stock the Chanel boy bag. The boutique in Heathrow is located on a tax-free area and he might be able to get the bag cheaper.

Lastly, London has like 10 Chanel boutiques or so. Ask her to call a couple of boutiques and ask for the ‘specific bag’ you want. So it’s the Chanel medium red calfskin. If they have in stock in HK, I bet they have it in UK too. Your friend does not live far from London right?
Thx Sassy, u remind me, my friend’s a uk citizen, so i dont think she would be able to get me the tax refund. And she would be flying to HK at the end of Apr, so i have to take the risk that Heathrow doesn’t have the bag i want or Chanel increase the price. You mention HK is expensive, would you know the price in UK? I m thinking if the difference is not that big, i might just get the bag in HK. Thx so much!

I think you can call the heathrow boutique yourself and ask them if they have in stock. I don’t have the price in UK, but I do have in France:
medium: €2,150
medium in lambskin: €2,450.
Price were recorded last year March 2012, but Chanel hasn’t increase prices since then.

Large flap: $4,500.00.
Prices in USA are higher than in Europe, so change the currency to euro = €3.500. And then substract 12% tax refund.
